It Started in a
Small Kitchen.
Our founder, Elena Maò, spent a decade traveling through Ethiopia, Colombia, and Vietnam, living with farmers and learning the delicate chemistry of the coffee bean. She realized that great coffee wasn't just about the machine—it was about the soil, the hands that picked it, and the intent behind the roast.
Returning home in 2024, she opened Cafe Maò in a refurbished historic building. The goal was simple: to create a space that felt like a pause button in a fast-paced world.
Today, we roast our beans in small batches daily, ensuring that every cup served is as fresh as the morning air. We believe in transparency, quality, and the simple joy of a hot cup shared with a friend.
